Although no chase was involved, train driver Mr G Waugh caught sight of a UFO which had a similar appearance to the one which followed Eleanor. Mr Waugh, from Bridge of Earn, was looking out of his front window on Tuesday 9 February 1993 ‘before retiring to bed’. What he saw immediately attracted his attention and he hurried to get his binoculars for a closer look. He focused the optics on the summit of Moncrieff Hill where ‘six white lights’ were shining, but, as Mr Waugh noted, ‘unusually they were in a straight line about 6–8 feet apart against the matt background’. After he had observed the lights for about fifteen minutes, they suddenly went out.

It does seem a bit more than coincidence that straight lines of lights should be seen in the same general area, even though a few years apart. Is it also coincidence that Eleanor’s terrifying ordeal should take place only a few miles from the location of a controversial alien encounter case just the year before?
